Biographie
Ilhae Kim wurde in Japan geboren.
Seit 2018 ist sie Cembalo Korrepetitorin für Instrumentalisten und Sänger an der Hochschulefür Musik und Theater München.
2019 gab sie, gefördert durch die Reihe »Frankfurter Bachkonzerte«, ein Solorecital mit den Goldberg Variationen auf dem Cembalo, 2018 war sie im Rahmen des Festivals »Aoyama Music Awards« in Japan und des Festivals »neue Musik Nacht« in Frankfurt zu hören. Seit 2018 unterstützt sie als Continuospielerin im Orchester den Internationalen Wettbewerb der ARD.
2021 wirkte sie an einer CD-Live Aufnahme des Werks „Der Kaiser von Atlantis“ von Viktor Ullmann mit dem Münchner Rundfunkorchester unter der Leitung von Patrick Hahn mit. Sie studierte an der Tokyo University of Arts sowie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München bei Naoya Otsuka, Masaaki Suzuki und Christine Schornsheim. Darüber hinaus erhielt sie wichtige Impulse von Christophe Rousset in Paris und absolvierte jeweils ein Master- und Konzertexamensstudium in Cembalo bei Eva Maria Pollerus und Basso Continuo bei Jesper Christensen an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt. Sie erspielte sich als Basso Continuo Spielerin einen Preis beim »Förderpreis Alte Musik 2016« der Akademie für Alte Musik im Saarland. Als Korrepetitorin wirkte sie bis 2017 an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt in den Klassen von Prof. Kristin von der Goltz und Prof. Petra Müllejans.
Sie verfolgt eine rege Konzerttätigkeit, u.a. mit der Akademie des Freiburger
Barockorchesters, dem InnsbruckBarockorchester, dem Ensemble Modern oder dem Münchner Rundfunkorchester.
Ihr Wohnsitz liegt in München.
Biography
Japanese harpsichord specialist Ilhae Kim is a sought-after soloist, orchestral member and accompanist.
Ilhae performs regularly with the Munich Radio Orchestra, the orchestra of the International ARD Competition, the Innsbruck Baroque Orchestra, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra Academy, and the Ensemble Modern. In 2018, she took part in the Night of New Music Festival in Frankfurt and the Aoyama Music Awards Festival in Japan. In 2019, she gave a solo harpsichord recital of the Goldberg Variations, as part of the Frankfurt Bach Concerts. In 2021, she was part of a live recording of Victor Ullmann’s “Der Kaiser von Atlantis” with the Munich Radio Orchestra, under the baton of Patrick Hahn.
Her basso continuo playing was awarded with an Early Music Advancement Award at the 2016 Saarland Academy for Early Music.
Currently, Ilhae is a collaborative harpsichordist for instrumentalists and singers at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts. She undertook the same role while studying at the Frankfurt University for Music and Performing Arts for the studios of Kristin von der Goltz and Petra Müllejans.
Ilhae began her studies at the Tokyo University of Arts under the tutelage of Naoya Otsuka, Masaaki Suzuki, and continued her training at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts with Christine Schnornsheim. She then furthered her education with both a masters and an honours degree in harpsichord from the Frankfurt University for Music and Performing Arts, where she studied harpsichord with Eva Maria Pollerus and basso continuo with Jesper Christensen. She also received important direction from Christophe Rousset in Paris.
Ilhae Kim is currently based in Munich.
